Teh Guat Hee
As a graduate with a Diploma in Graphic Design, I was in the profession until I joined a company secretarial firm as an Admin Executive. At a later stage, I took on the role of Admin Executive with an international wedding card company. Before I decided to join Kechara full time, I had owned a health food franchise for two years and was responsible for the day-to-day business operations. During that period, I started to seek for spiritual advice.
In April 2011, I was introduced to Kechara and began to join the weekly pujas and Dharma classes. I had always wanted to learn Dharma, as I believed I would find the answers I was looking for. Although still new to Kechara, I took on the challenge of joining a Setrap retreat together with my friends. After six months, I began to volunteer at various events and also committed my time as one of the main coordinators for the Chinese Setrap Puja.
I decided to join as a full-time member of staff at Kechara House in June 2013, where I was assigned the role of Customer Service Manager. Not long after that, I was promoted to be the Operations Manager where I led the team to provide necessary and professional services to Kechara’s members and guests.
In February 2014, in addition to my portfolio in Kechara House, I took on the role of Operations Manager in Kechara Oasis, where I revived the operating and administrative procedures. Today, I am the Head of Kechara Oasis and a Senior Manager of Kechara, with the goal of sustaining and expanding Kechara Oasis. Inspired by His Eminence the 25th Tsem Rinpoche and his vision to spread Dharma for the benefit of all beings, I continue to serve Kechara and share Dharma with others to the best of my ability, keeping Rinpoche’s advice close to my heart:
Bringing Dharma to others is like giving water to someone who has not had water for a long time. Like an oasis in the desert. ~ H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche
