Liaisons
Sharon Saw
Naturally inclined to writing, I started as a volunteer in Kechara Media & Publications. In 2008, I had the honour of being invited to join the Liaison Council. I immediately accepted because as a liaison, I would have the precious opportunity to ensure that His Eminence’s vision and Dharma work are carried out. It is also a rare opportunity for accelerated learning

It is a great honour to be able to serve a being as extraordinary as Rinpoche. Committing to liaisonship is about committing to developing and fostering human values which ultimately brings happiness. Rinpoche’s whole life’s motivation is about bringing about true and lasting happiness to others and through this, opportunities present themselves for us to learn to be more skillful

I was fortunate enough to have met His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche as a friend while I was still going to church in 2003. At that time, I found him to be a remarkable spiritual teacher because he never tried to convert me or ever ask me to be his disciple. Having being appointed as a liaison, this is a golden opportunity to return the kindness of my parents and Rinpoche through my work

With my degree in Journalism, I have dedicated the past 15 years of my life to television and film productions. Having met Rinpoche and being inspired by his teachings, I volunteered to produce Dharma videos under his guidance. I feel very fortunate and honoured that I can use my experience and professional skills to engage into Dharma practice through video production

My connection with Rinpoche started with the holy teachings of Lama Tsongkhapa. Rinpoche’s compassion and interest to benefit others inspired me to become his student in order to follow his vision. I realised that it is rare to have such an opportunity to meet a Guru, so I decided to assist Rinpoche wholeheartedly in his Dharma work

I had received many teachings from various Buddhist teachers but I was not integrating their teachings into my daily life. Meeting Rinpoche empowered my spiritual progress and mind transformation to another level, giving me the conviction that realising one’s potential to sustainable happiness is possible. I have not looked back since becoming a liaison, in making His Eminence’s vision a reality and growth

Life before Kechara was different, to say the least. With my position as Executive Director and my four growing children, I was caught up in a materialistic lifestyle. I first met Rinpoche 5 years ago and since then, Dharma has brought peace to my mind. I am involved in the Kechara World Peace Centre project and will push all the way for KWPC to become a great institution

A working mother of two, I had a great corporate career and spent my free-time gardening, reading about spirituality, and traveling. After meeting Rinpoche, I joined Kechara as a full time staff, my life’s turning point. Seeing our work continuously benefiting thousands of our less fortunate fellow human beings reassures me that my decision is correct, and all those corporate games were nothing but jokes

My life was previously just like a normal ordinary family man working in a corporate telecommunication company. After meeting Rinpoche, I knew I had found what I really wanted to do with my life. Rinpoche’s teachings have brought my family and I to a new life. Our lives are no longer just about ourselves or our family but others
