The following are a series of messages composed by H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, as part of his skilful methods to transform the minds and bad habituations of his more difficult and stubborn students.

How Scary!

Lying, cheating, being sneaky and using people when you're in a Dharma organisation is the same as the karma of KILLING PEOPLE.

These types of people become cold, animal-like, and have tremendous unhappiness, pain and troubles waiting for them in the future AGAIN and AGAIN.

Very scary.

They can be quiet, hide and hope to avoid criticism now temporarily but KARMA CATCHES UP!

It's so scary.

Anytime we can get sick and end up in the hospital. When we look back, we have wasted so much time eating, vacationing, making money, and generally doing things that have zero meaning. We must go all the way in Dharma already!

Anytime we can lose control of our body. Before that happens, should we cheat, lie, be lazy, sneaky, and use people as much as possible? So that we can suffer more with more pain? Sounds good??

• We don't do our work well but we want respect.
• We don't care about others or animals but we want care.
• We are sneaky but we want others to be straight.
• We lie but we want others to tell the truth.
• We never accomplish anything but when we are taught new ways, we don't adopt.
• We have to be watched but we resent it.
• We know very little yet when given advice, we resent it.
• We are a burden to others but we don't want to carry any responsibilities.

The irony is we want what others want without putting in any effort.

Pure selfishness NEVER WINS.

What do we get when we

• lie...
• steal...
• are sneaky...
• lazy...
• and greedy?

We get:

• no one believes us...
• no wealth always...
• become a loser...
• everyone abandons us.

Some people think they can be super sneaky, always lie, win the lazy award, and trick their gurus YET THEY HOPE PEOPLE WILL STILL LOVE THEM AND RESPECT THEM.
How illogical.
Instead of love and respect, they are disliked and labeled losers. Sad!

We lie, cheat, be sneaky, use people and have a cold heart.
Then everyone hates us and never respects us.
Why do that? Do we like having zero respect and zero support?

We lie, cheat, trick people and have a cold heart.
BUT we want others to tell us the truth, be honest, don't fool us and want people to be WARM TO US. Strange!

Why aren't we given work that's "bigger and better" and gives us limelight?
Because the 'small' work we have been given, we didn't do a good job and others had to patch up for us and we complained more than we actually did while 'doing' the work.

When will I stop being a loser? When they put my cold blue body into the casket?

I enjoy being a loser because everyone knows I'm the one but keeps quiet. But I KNOW that they KNOW IT'S ME! It's attention. As a loser, that's the only attention I get. I'll keep doing this until they put me in the casket. It's fun to LIE, CHEAT, BE SNEAKY, DO MY WORK BADLY and PUSH THE RESPONSIBILITY TO OTHERS!

• Let's just sit around and give lame old excuses so we don't have to do anything! So we don't have to do the real work! Let's talk back and give smart answers!

• If we are told to do something, let's make excuses and do it tomorrow. Never do it fast.

• Let's not do our work well if it doesn't bring attention and limelight.

• Let's do our work wrongly so we get attention when we are told off.

• Let's lie everyday so people will hate us.

• Let's never take care of animals because they don't benefit us.

• Let's get free things and never give anything in return.

• Let's not do our work well but still shoot our big mouth and talk non-stop!

• Let's not do our work well and leave it for other people around us to do for us. And when they get angry, we better not react back.

• Let's leave it to others to correct our mistakes but when we don't get better positions, we better not make noise or throw weekly hissy fits! And say "Why don't we get to do bigger things???"

• Let's always try to get money from people. It's good to use them because it's easier than doing work because it's fun being a loser. And it's fun that no one respects us.

• Let's never buy food for people that work with us. We can eat their food and use their facilities and complain too! Let's get what we can from them. It's nice to use people and get whatever for FREE from them so we can end up a loser and BE DEPENDENT ON OTHERS AGAIN!

• Let's be sneaky everyday and get caught everyday! Fun! Fun! Fun! So much sick attention! attention! And don't forget we are Buddhist!

Secret: Let's cheat someone today and everyday.

• We need attention because we hate ourselves. Why? Because we never achieved anything and we are jealous of others who achieve.

• It's fun to be cold, sneaky, a liar and never do our work well because it's enjoyable to be alone and get no respect, hide and be avoided by others!

• It's nice to do things wrong because we get scolding and that means it's attention.

• It's fun to watch others become better, do more, excel and become respected because they achieve so much through hard work while we are sneaky and gain nothing.

• It's fun to gain nothing and be a loser. Isn't it?

 If we:

• Lie to our Guru
• Cheat our Guru
• Use our Guru
• Break our promises to our Guru

Then even the Buddhas can't fulfill our prayers although they are so compassionate

Pick:

Be sneaky, tricky, and lie to get small benefits and think you got away with it and everyone's fooled? And grow older and no one respects you or is happy with you and you end up an old loser because you made everyone lose?
OR
Do your work well, don't look for shortcuts. Because everyone is working hard and you happily join them because they are your friends and you stick with them. You might have to do more NOW but later you enjoy respect, love and security.
