Jason Mraz - Rescue

http://youtu.be/1OufXN4qmrg

In a difficult breath she reached for the phone.
She knew she needed friends and didn’t want to be left alone.
It wasn’t like her to have her feelings hurt.
But everybody hits a wall everybody needs a call.

He was living on the sidewalk just living, no business at all.
There was something to this man who had seen it all.
He wasn’t looking for a handout he didn’t want my money neither.
Tired of speaking to the walls everybody needs to talk.

Oh, I’m coming to your rescue.
Coming to your rescue.
Like a fireman, I’ll be your 911.
Whenever you need to escape.

Somehow I’ll rescue you.
I’m coming to your rescue.
No, I’ll never let you down, never let you down.
No, I’ll never let you ever fall down.  No.

Born in 2002 too young for the work he’d do.
Too young to have the kind of voice that people listen to.
Not made for the factory, not made to be a soldier neither.
It’s not what he deserves everybody should be heard.

Rescue.
I’m coming to your rescue.
Like a fireman, I’ll be your 911
Whenever you need to escape.

Somehow I’ll rescue you.
I’m coming to your rescue.
No, I’ll never let you down, never let you down.
No, I’ll never let you ever fall down.

Life is made for love as one and one is two.
People need to be seen.
I see you.
When you’re down on your luck you know what I will do.

I see you, I know you.
I hear you, I am you.
So here I come, here I come.
Here I come, here I come.

I’m coming to your rescue.
I’m coming to your rescue.
Like a fireman, I’ll be your 911.
Whenever you need to escape.

Somehow I’ll rescue you.
I’m coming to your rescue.
No, I’ll never let you down, never let you down.
No I’ll never let you ever fall down.  No.

We are enlightened beings.  It's why we ask "Why?".

Don't ever discount yourself.

You go girl!

I am just about green with envy, but know that you bring all of our very best wherever you go.  Am so glad that you were able to get back for that vow.  Wow.

The pictures are beautiful.  Thank you so much!

Black Widow spiders are nearly blind.  What they react to is your physical vibration.  Grab a cup (or a tall glass) and a stiff piece of paper (cardboard works great).  Trap and take it to the furthest corner of your garden.  Shake vigorously.  : )

Me and my best friend Lillian and her blue tick hound dog Gideon
Sitting on the front porch cooling in the shade
Singing every song the radio played
Waiting for the Alabama sun to go down
Two red dirt girls in a red dirt town
Me and Lillian.

Just across the line and a little southeast of Meridian.

She loved her brother I remember back when he was fixing up a '49 Indian
He told her "Little sister gonna ride the wind up around the moon and back again"
He never got farther than Vietnam I was standing there with her when the telegram come
For Lillian.

Now he's lying somewhere about a million miles from Meridian.

She said "There's not much hope for a red dirt girl
Somewhere out there there's a great big world that's where I'm bound
And the stars might fall in Alabama one of these nights I'm gonna swing my hammer down
Away from this red dirt town.

Gonna make a joyful sound."

She grew up tall and she grew up thin buried that old dog Gideon
By a crepe myrtle bush in the back of the yard
Her Daddy turned mean and her Momma leaned hard
Got in trouble with a boy from town figured that she might as well settle down
So she dug right in.

Across the red dirt line  just a little southeast of Meridian.

She tried hard to love him but it never did take
It was just another way for the heart to break
So she learned to bend.

One thing they don't tell you about the blues when you got 'em keep on walking
'cause there ain't no bottom
There ain't no end

Least not for Lillian.

Nobody knows when she started her skid she was only 27 and she had five kids
Could have been the whiskey could have been the pills
Could have been the dream she was trying to kill
But there won't be a mention in the news of the world about the life and the death of a red dirt girl named Lillian

Who never got any further across the line than Meridian.

Now, the stars still fall in Alabama
Tonight she finally laid that hammer down.
Without a sound
In the red dirt ground.

Cathedrals -- J. Clifford

In the shadows of tall buildings
Of fallen angels on the ceilings
Oily feathers in bronze and concrete
Faded colors pieces left incomplete

The line moves slowly past the electric fence
Across the borders between continents
In the cathedrals of New York and Rome
There is a feeling that you should just go home

And spend a lifetime finding out just where that is.

In the shadows of tall buildings
The architecture is slowly peeling
Marble statues and glass dividers
Someone is watching all of the outsiders

The line moves slowly through the numbered gate
Past the mosaic of the head of state
In the cathedrals of New York and Rome
There is a feeling that you should just go home

And spend a lifetime finding out just where that is.

<bridge>

In the shadows of tall buildings
Of open arches endlessly kneeling
Sonic landscapes echoing vistas
Someone is listening from a safe distance

The line moves slowly into a fading light
The final moment in the dead of night
*In the cathedrals of New York and Rome
There is a feeling that you should just go home

And spend a lifetime finding out just where that is.

<*repeat and fade>
