16  Dharma / Dharma buds / Re: Second Life on: April 29, 2008, 01:12:41 AM
I'm on Second Life there's been talk at one of the locations of getting a Real Life Teacher to come do dharma classes there. (Any chance we can get His Holiness Tsem Tulku Rinpoche there?)

As for Bodhi great place but it is now mostly dead, they started rebuilding it but then stopped and the owners vanish as there known to do for months at a time.

My name there is Jagar Undercroft look me up if you want.

It's  not just money that we need to  contribute. It is transformation.

A Lama  will stop a certain action if He or She finds that it cannot benefit people and on the contray increase their delusions. This is something that we should also consider....

So they've been taken down for good because His Holiness feels they are causing harm?

Didn't know where else to put this...

French capital honours Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama has been made an honorary citizen of Paris, as anti-French protests continue in China.

Paris city council voted to bestow the symbolic title on the Tibetan spiritual leader, whom Mayor Bertrand Delanoe called "a champion of peace".

The move was opposed by the party of President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has been trying to ease tense ties with Beijing.

Chinese protesters have been picketing French supermarket Carrefour, accusing it of supporting the Dalai Lama.

Beijing accuses the Dalai Lama of inciting unrest in Tibet - claims he has denied.

Chinese officials are launching a two-month "patriotic education" in Tibet, in which Communist Party officials and local people will gather to denounce the spiritual leader.

China give it up...

That kinda had me interested too.

I know in the Nyingma tradition there is a "White Sangha." Obviously though this wouldn't apply to Tsem Tulku, so I am interested in hearing about this myself.

It's labeled as Sanskrit. But reviewers say it is Japanese pronunciation of Chinese.

Either it is... Well it honestly makes me think of U.S. country music lo  ;)l

23  General Category / General Discussion / Pass this on to Tsem Tulku! on: August 14, 2007, 02:22:00 AM
THANK YOU!

Seriously. Before I found your website you Excellence I was on the verge of quiting Buddhism as the forms I was running into seemed like fancy Atheism.

Seriously some boards I was on I caught heck for belief in Reincarnation, Mantras, Spirits, Other worlds ect. I was told they had no place in Buddhism.

Then I listen and BAM it's everything I could have hoped for.

An as to the effect there having on me.

I use to be a hurt, bitter young man (I'm 25 now). Because several friends had used, betrayed and abandoned me.

Now while still depressed and angry sometimes thanks to listening to and trying to apply your teachings it's no longer as bad as it use to be. Even people I know see a (small) difference in me.

I got a long way to go. But if not for you, I wouldn't have taken even these baby steps.

When I finally do get the money. I was thinking of putting the counters at the 3 o'clock and the 9 o'clock positions if that makes any since.

As well as getting one of those clip on counters.

That's why I'm trying to hunt one down. As for a normal prayer wheel there's this sweet one over on Snowlion I got my eye on and when it's back up Karacha house has this lovely Guru Rinpoche statue I'm wanting...

Of course first I need to over come to small obstacles. I need a job and money >.< But everything in it's time.
26  Dharma / Dharma Talk Discussion / Has anyone had any dealings with this company on: August 13, 2007, 11:04:12 PM
http://www.geocities.com/jane_ou_li/bdwheel.html

It looks interesting. An electric prayer wheel you plug in an let it do it's thing.

But well when companies use geocities or another free web host for themselves I get suspicious. Especally when it has a few dead links.

Can anyone help me here or tell me where else to find a Thardo Korlo?
27  Dharma / Dharma Talk Discussion / Where'd the statues go!? on: August 10, 2007, 10:27:40 PM
I just went to the website to look around and the store is gone.

What's going on where are the relics and statues and such?
28  Dharma / Dharma Talk Discussion / Re: Wealth Vases on: July 20, 2007, 02:25:48 AM
Also if your worried about the selfish issue think of it like this.

It's kind of hard to focus on meditation and spiritual achievements when it is all you can do to put food on the table and your struggling to scratch out an existence.
29  Dharma / Dharma buds / Dealing with anger and finding my path on: July 20, 2007, 02:09:34 AM
Hey everyone,

My names Rusty.

I'll get to the chase my biggest issue is dealing with Anger. No matter how hard I try or how many times I think the beast within is slain it just comes back.

I'm trying to find my path in life. Trying to find my way if you would, but it seems everything I try falls apart in my hands. Friends abandon me after I help them to no end, jobs fall through and the list goes on.

I figure I have to be doing something very wrong, that or I got a metric ton of bad Karma...
