Let's say you use offering dishes or lamps or incense holders or clothing for statues, then later you are replacing them because they are damaged or you could do better, what do you do with those things? Can you give them away? Sell them? Throw them away? Or does that violate some vows, maybe stealing from the Triple Gem?

I wouldn't think buddhas would be so attached to robes.

My suggestion, invite more Buddhas home so they can make use of the clothing.

You could visualize the significance and positive energy absorbing into a red AH as lights before disposing them.

In general i heard they're usually  inserted into statues, especially Khatas.
