Dharma Story to help a teenager

Dear All,
Do you know any story or dharma story to help a 14 year old child who still struggles with bullying.
A story that will help him cope with what he is experiencing in school, as he seems to be very sensitive to kids sniggering and etc. Something to help him to be emotionally strong.
Please email to
[email protected]
or post it on the forum.
Best Wishes

Origin of second story is

"He abused me, he struck me, he overpowered me, he robbed me." Those who harbor such thoughts do not still their hatred.

Hatred is never appeased by hatred in this world. By non-hatred alone is hatred appeased. This is a law eternal.

IDK if this is what you are looking for, but this book seems to be highly rated for young adults... maybe it could help

Hi WM,
I dont think stories can help, but counselling certainly can. Teenage years can be rough especially when its a time where a person is searching for an identity...talking to this person will help a lot.
Hagiographies (biographies of Lamas) may help tho. Not a lot but provide at least some inspiration

Dear PLWK and Ivy for the suggestions.
Dear Joey, I've been asked to look for some stories some words to share. The mum I'm sure is aware of the option of counselling , she is not choosing that now.

I did say hagiographies..perhaps the life of Milarepa may help a little to help inspire

I once attended a public talk given by HH The Dalai Lama and at the end of the talk, a child submitted a question to HH about what he should do as he is being bullied. HH' s answer was:
a) beat the bully or
b) run
The idea is is one is bigger than the bully, one should retaliate to stop the bully doing it to one and another
But is one is incapable of defending, thenone should run to protect oneself.
Quite often, the child would not want to make an issue but if we remind the child that the bully is really the troubled one. If it bothers him, then report to the relevant authorities otherwise try to avoid the bully and make prayers for the bully.
