Hi I'm wondering if TTR has said anything about using silk.  I know it's part of Tibetan culture, and most katas are made of silk, as it is a very fine material. . . however, many many silkworms are killed, boiled alive, to make silk.  I admit, I have bought silk katas, but I wonder if any others feel conflicted about this, and what lamas have said?
