This month is celebrating one year since I became a vegetarian. For this I have to thank to Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. Rinpoche also sent me a very beautiful and precious gift.
Venerable Guru, through your prayers, please help me not to deviate from The Right Path! I bow down humbly to Your Feet!

Welcome Lawrence to the forum. Rinpoche's care and compassion is boundless. Also check out Rinpoche's blog, he updates it very regularly. I rejoice you have stopped harming beings directly and indirectly . http://blog.tsemtulku.com/

Welcome to the forum. I rejoice for you.
Please offer us some wisdom, in your own words, on how you finally broke free from meat, if you have the time.

Thank you,
It is simple. I've promised to H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche that I'll stop eating meat forever, and since then I have never felt even the slightest need to eat meat.

Wow that was so short and sweet.
my VEG PLEDGE has slowly crept up to its current level of 5 days a week. (In reality, I only eat meat around once a week, for one meal.)
I am very proud of myself. My heart does ache for the others, especially in the Christian culture of America, where the Bible says "Every animal is meant for you to use" People take that very seriously to mean that animals have no soul so we can pretty much do as we please to them. I feel sorry for the ones who hold this view.
I also made a promise to Rinpoche to just stop it completely, very soon. I cannot recall ever breaking one promise I have made to Rinpoche.
(UPDATE: I am now a Vegetarian.)

Already two years of vegetarianism, thanks to Venerable Tsem Tulku Rinpoche! He gave me a healthy life for my body, but also peace for my mind.
He revealed to me that Perseverance is very important. Every day of practice is a panaceum!
Thank You Rinpoche!

I have 3 years of vegetarianism thanks to Venerable Tsem Tulku Rinpoche! There is nothing more precious than a Guru. The Grace of Guru is an Ocean. He knows better than anybody else, what's matter in our lives.
I suppose, it is time for me to become a vegan at least for a few months. I bow down to Your lotus Feet Rinpoche!

What normally you ate?

There is no problem to be vegetarian. I've never thought too much at food. I'm not a vegetarian for a good health or something like that. I care about other living beings. Venerable Tsem Tulku made me to care about it. He opened my eyes. My wife is also a vegetarian. Our daughter is not vegetarian. She is 7 years old. She has time to decide alone about it.
However, all our problems and temptations are creations of our mind. This is area of struggle.
