I have read it once but I feel don't remember much, a big leaky pot I am. The Lamrim is very a profound text. Contain within it the methods and wisdom for ordinary people like us written in contemporary language to discover the thoughts of the Buddha. If you don't have time to read, buy it anyway, just keeping it will create merits! If you read it, you gain even more merits! Smiley

Haha! Yes wmw11, the Lamrim should be read again and again!

I have read the Lamrim, but of course, knowing the Lamrim and practising what was written in the Lamrim is totally different.

I truly enjoy going to the Lamrim retreats that Kechara house host every first week of the month. In fact, they are having it throughout the whole week! I'll be going to KH to do at least a few chapters.

I really like Lamrim because the more I read it, the clearer it becomes. There is always something more to understand when we read the same chapter again. I wonder why...

Studying lamrim is one of the preliminaries that's required before receiving any higher tantric empowerments. Without a proper understanding of lamrim, there will be no attainments if you run around for higher tantric initiation.

It is the stages to the path of enlightenment. Like a cook book to become enlightened. It make s you progress gradually. It was from teaching by Pabongka Rinpoche and Trijang Rinpoche took notes and from the notes arose the text 'Liberation in the Palm of YOur Hand' amazing text.

This is a core text gives us a solid foundation  of the Dharma Smiley

Ysun, every month Kechara has a lamrim retreat. You can participate if you're living in Klang Valley area.
