Are the stores selling goods over the net? I can't get the links to work.
More urgently, will someone please tell me what Dzambhala is holding in his right hand in this magnificent rupa. I ask because I received last summer an agate stone, probably a species of dzi bead, from one of the lersi hermits in Thailand.
This very odd stone is an almost exact duplicate of what Dzambhala is holding.
Help?!

the thing on his right hand is supposed to be a fruit (tho I wonder what kind of fruit looks like that) that shows you if you do his practice it will bear fruit
but then again, malaysians love $$$$$$$ and maybe instead of fresh fruit he holds a jewel.

I got news, buddy: the Malaysians ain't alone. I'm quite partial to cash m'self.
I saw the object referred to as a "cittamani" which I expect is Wish Fulfilling Jewel but I'm too tired tonight to google.
What I find real odd is that, via this Lersi Hermit, I got a "natural" one.
And I haven't the faintest idea what to do with it. It's a species of Dzi and I leave it in the hands of a Lersi rupa but that's where it ends.
Joey, I hope you figured this out but just in case you didn't: I'm one of your fans.

I got this from Kechara Publication's book : Faces of Enlightenment.
The book says:
"Dzambala holds a fruit in his right hand to signify that if we follow his practice, we can "bear the fruits" of our efforts to gain spiritual attainments and Enlightenment. He holds a mongoose in his left, which stood as an omen in ancient India of good things to come. The mongoose spits beautiful precious wish-granting jewels, attracting us to practice Dzambala with the immediate promise of wealth."

I regard him as a manifestation of Guru Rimpoche....from Whom springs all that is.
But others may see him their way...it doesn't matter: all is for the good.

Dzambala is regarded by the kagyus as another form of Virupa, the northen heavely king although Rinpoche regards Dzambala as an emanation of the buddha to reach out to miserly people.

Thanks. it is highly probable that it's pomegrante because pomegrante is known to be one of the few precious fruits around, regardless of culture. However, its better to wait for answers from people who know better like Wai Meng

Hi all, I'm not sure if Rinpoche mentioned what Bijapura is. My best guess would be a type of lemon/ citrus fruit. Promegranate is round , where else lemons are slightly more elongated and sharper. rgds wai meng
