HI guys, I heard about this Sangha Prayers for World Peace and then ended up ordering this Sutra called "Exalted Sublime Golden Light".  So I have it and I'm trying to work out which part is actually the Sutra cos it seems quite a bit longer than I imagined a Sutra to be - like, this is a book.  Anyway, Lama Zopa says that by hearing the text - one's karma is purified and that we should listen to a transmission of the text.  Well...how do I  get to listen to a transmission of it?  Does anyone know of any goin' round?  What about reading the text - does that help?  OMG, you for sure think I'm an idiot now.  He does say that even if I keep the text, my wishes will be fulfilled!

Has anyone read it that can in a nut-shell give me a summary of what the whole sutra is about?  I like to have a big picture and then get stuck in.  Helps me to understand as I'm going along.  It doesn't have a blurb on the back so I don't get any clues.  It's just like take a deep breath and dive in.

Apparantly on Aug 5th you can recite it for World Sangha day.  Does this mean read the whole book?

So, the plan is to read this Sutra and then ask many irritating questions about it.  Any contributions to this subject that may shed light on the sutra - much appreciated.

My Venerable said something about it bringing peace to where ever it is read.  My centre is going to do a reciting of the whole sutra on Aug 5th I just found out.  Good timing.   Still like to know more about it though.
