I just wanted to let everyone know that on August 7th I have an interview for county dispatch. I'll be sending working 911, Police Dispatch, Fire Dispatch, EMS (Hospital Ambulance) Dispatch and some other odd work.

It'll be long hours and intensive work. But it'll be rewarding, well paying and I'll be helping to save lives and help make the world a better place.

ah! I'm jealous. Just today my spiritual friend asked me what I wanted to do with my life, so I thought about it, and emergency response was one of those things.

Yeah, I want to be around for people when they dying or otherwise at a dangerous fork in the road.

I imagine it's really stressful though,...

why don't you try a little volunteer work at a hospice/hospital/nursing home...it can be very rewarding work...most all jobs are somehow stressful....you should probably get some further schooling.

Um good luck, maybe we will see u on tv because you saved someone's life.  That would be cool.  Except I don't have a tv.

and I got my first pay-cheque today.  First one for almost 2 years.  Wow!  It's not so much the joy of  having money in my hand but the joy of thinking what I can do with it.  Saving it for a rainy day is not my strong point...  Anyway - it feels good.  Grin
