In Gurus for Hire Rinopoche mentioned that if you do Medicine Buddha Sadanah, you need to focus on the 3 Medicinal Mahakalas to help dispell hindrances/disturbances and remove obstacles. I think that is like a protector practice. Well I have disturbances when I try to do Medicine Buddha and I don't appreciate it at all. I think it bothered me so I did the practice less and less. This is not the right place to talk further on that but I would like to know something about these Three Medicinal Mahakalas, or even just see a picture of them.

Hi, I have come across a thangka from VajraSecret website that feature three mahakalas: White Mahakala, Six Arms Mahakala and 4 faces mahakala below medicine buddha hence I will like to seek confirmation from the senior members of the forum whether they are the famous three medicine mahakala that vow to protect medicine buddha practitioners. I checked , the Medicine Buddha Puja at our center , they do not chant any protector mantra besides Setrap.

In the sutra it revealed that if one practice the medicine buddha, Bodhisattva vajradhara, the four maha raja, the twelve yashaka generals and their entourage of 12X8000 yashaka will protect the practitioners. Hence the practice itself include the Guru (Buddha Shakyamuni), the Buddha (Medicine Buddha and Shakyamuni), the Dharma (the vows of the medicine buddha) and the sangha (manjushri, vajradhara, 4 maharaja, 12 yashaka generals etc). And according to rinpoche, the three mahakala will offer their protection automatically if one practice medicine buddha.

When you say Rinpoche you mean Tsem Rinpoche or someone else?
But if thats the case , what can she do to overcome the disturbances?
