Home alter question

Hi!,
   I had a question. i am going to be leaving town for a few days but I was wondering what i should do about my alter should I leave a water bowl offering or wait until I get home? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i think should empty the water bowl offering.

but, i do notice some chinese mahayana family, their water bowl offering don't usually change often, they usually have three small cups of water offering, with the words of "Precepts", "Meditation","Wisdom" in the cups. They change when the water is drying up.

You should empty your bowl, but if you want to continue to make offerings, carry a small buddha tsa tsa, and some incense and tea light candle.....Once you reach the hotel, you can setup your mini altar there, and offer lights and incense and also do prostration.....for water, you can go to any convinence store to buy bottle water and offered it...

I do it whenever i travel for my work or holidays trip......

clean up, and then go on holiday. If you have traveling altar you can continue to make offerings while on your trip.... or alternatively offer everything to buddha before you partake, like your meals, drinks, beauftiful sights, sounds, tastes, etc.

pasquale2k , which buddha tsa tsa should we brings along? tsong khapa, setrap, vajrayogini? or all of them? do you also bring along any light offering (candle), incenses, beside the 7/8 water bowls offering? thanks.

Well, there's no specific Buddha Tsa Tsa you need to bring during ur travel, you can bring any buddha tsa tsa you like, as long as is easy for you to carry.....Yes, i do bring along a few tea-light candle and also incense, for water offering, normally i will go to the local convenience stall to buy, 1 small bottle a day..................

When I travel with my family - by car, I bring along pix of my Guru, Manjushri, Green Tara, Lord Setrap, Buddha Shakyamuni & Setrap tsa tsa & Tara tsa tsa & Tsongkhapa tsa tsa. My tea pot and "serkym", incence and candle tea lights. I will usually place  Setrap tsa tsa facing front door and distributes the rest in the rooms and lounge.

Once I stayed in a farmhouse in remote area - really spooky!!! But thank goodness I have all my Buddhas with me. LOL
