Oh, I am sorry I've posted the above again.  It's good for awareness anyway.

Thanks.  In fact, the situation in SG is not ideal for animal caregivers and feeders alike.  One has to ballot for the sterilization voucher from the SPCA, which is limited in numbers.  Many caregivers and feeders have gone broke because of the medical cost and pet food.   A few days ago, I saw a S.O.S  from Metta cats (SG) on facebook.  Yesterday evening,  while I was at a cat boarding house, I decided to give the distressed lady a call.  This auntie lived not far from my mother.  The lady in distress said she was looking for a job.   I told her the boarding house had a bag of 20kg of cat food to give away.  Later this evening, I will use my bicycle to deliver it to her flat.  Thanks for listening.

Randy,
I watched the video from another source not on the forum.

I think neutering the cats is the most important now.

Oh I see, Wai Meng.

Yes, neutering is important.  I wish the government can reinstate the state-sponsored neutering program before they ban it during the Sars outbreak.  A wishful thinking.

Randy, about Aunty who is feeding the cats.  Would be great to have some pics of her feeding the cats posted on that facebook page about her cause.  More real you know.  People will be interested to see.  Sorry to post that here - couldn't post it on facebook for some reason.

Sometimes poverty is not as unbearable and sad as others might get the impression it is.
I only mention this because I've noticed in my own mind that there have been warped views on this, warped views because I have humored warped values. I think having decent clothes and a nice house is more important than the happiness I aim to get from these things. However I know happiness doesn't have to depend on these things, so I notice my view is warped.

I don't have any experience starving and I wouldn't want any, I was just talking about what people with computers and cars and places to sleep tend to put value on and how they might even feel sad looking at someone who in reality is far better off than them.

Hi Pummy,

Thanks for the advice.  You can post it here, no worry.  I guess the person who started the Facebook S.O.S does not have this habit of taking photos, doesn't have a digicam or doesn't have the idea back then.  I will suggest to them about it soon.

True.  A simple lifestyle is no sin.  We will pay the price for consuming too much of this so-called tasty and rich food.  No disrespect to my father, I've warned him about it, he's healthy lad, but he has, just like many of us, become a slave to the taste bud and now he is in a nursing home after suffering a stroke.

Pummy, Yesterday I tried to send you an email on providing help for the cat feeder but the mail was returned.

A few minutes ago, I sent you another email.
